Transport in town
Conference venue (Klaipėda University) is located 10-15 min walk from the city centre and most hotels.

The main means of public transportation in town are buses and minibuses. Buses going from city to the conference venue (Universito stop) is 3, 4, 5, 6, 9, 14, 15, 17. Single bus fare costs 0.70 Eur in kiosks and 0.80 Eur when buying a ticket from bus driver. The public buses function according to the schedule, which is to be found at nearly every bus stop along with the route of specific buses http://www.klaipedatransport.lt/en , but it is frequent at day time.

Minibus ride (which is faster and more convenient because it stops at the request of the passengers) costs 0,80 Eur.

Long-distance buses arrive to Klaipeda from Riga, Kaliningrad, and most Lithuanian towns. The bus station is a good 20-minute walk from Old Town. It is easy to reach the city center by taking a public Bus No 8 (Timetable available on the website). Taxi can be found around the station perimeter.
By plane

Palanga (Klaipeda) International Airport (PLQ) is situated 25 km away from Klaipeda City on the main A13 (E272) highway. Regular scheduled flights from Palanga Airport are operated by airlines airBaltic, Norwegian Air Shuttle, SAS, LOT Polish Airlines, Ryanair and Wizz Air. The regular flights are operated to Copenhagen (Denmark), Oslo (Norway), Riga (Latvia), London (UK), and Warsaw (Poland). Relating to good connecting flights from Palanga with SAS and airBaltic it is easy to reach a lot of other cities in Europe via Copenhagen and Riga

Kaunas International Airport (KUN) is located in the central part of the country, about 230 km from Klaipeda. The main destinations include cities of United Kingdom, Ireland and Norway, also Denmark and The Netherlands.

Bus service Kaunas Airport Express runs from Klaipeda to Kaunas Airport and from Kaunas Airport to Klaipeda. Bus schedule is coordinated with Ryanair flight schedule and serves every flight. In Klaipeda the bus picks up and leaves the passengers at shopping Mall Akropolis (address is Taikos 61, Klaipeda).

Vilnius International Airport (VNO) is situated only 6 km from Vilnius city (about 310 km from Klaipeda). Vilnius Airport offers 53 flight destinations to 44 countries. Check the bus times to Klaipeda and book a seat at http://www.ollex.lt/en/express/Kaunas-airport/buy-a-ticket

In Klaipeda the bus picks up and leaves the passengers at shopping center Akropolis (address is Taikos 61, Klaipeda).

The International Ferry Terminal

Regular ferry lines for passengers, cars and cargo:
Klaipėda – Kiel (Germany),
Klaipėda – Karlshamn (Sweden).
The International Ferry Terminal is about 12 km south of the Klaipeda city center. Bus No 1a leaves from outside the main terminal building a few times a day. Buy a ticket from the driver for 0.80 Eur and validate it in the appropriate machine. Journey time to the centre is about 25 minutes. All buses terminate at the last stop on Taikos before Old Town (see Klaipeda city bus network). Taxi are usually waiting around outside.

The conference will be held at AULA MAGNA at Klaipėda University, H. Manto 84, Klaipėda, Lithuania.

As it is a large building combined with shopping center, look for the right entrance called "AULA MAGNA". It is the only one entrance to it on the outside (you cannot get to it from shopping area).

Accommodation costs are not included to the registration fee. Hotel costs and booking are to be settled by conference participants directly with the hotel. Regular price for the spring season starts from 35 till 95 €.
