Science Architect: a computer software platform that helps to analyze and manage large amounts of scientific

The Thursday’s seminar will take a place on March 25, from 16:00, via “Zoom”.

The lecture will be given by Juozas Baltušnikas

Topic: “Science Architect: a computer software platform that helps to analyze and manage large amounts of scientific

Abstract:
The ability to generate breakthrough ideas in science is a matter of great importance. However, rapidly increasing amounts of information changes the process of scientific discovery. In order to generate valuable scientific ideas it is necessary to analyze more and more scientific information. In fact, in many cases the point is reached where literature analysis by one person is not enough and must be done by multiple scientists simultaneously. New tools are necessary to help scientists in managing large amounts of scientific knowledge. To solve this problem we are developing a platform called “Science Architect”, which will provide the ability to effectively analyse, store, search and share scientific knowledge. The goal of this presentation is to share the idea and features of “Science Architect” and initiate a discussion about what tools could be useful for scientists to improve their work results.

Bio:
Juozas Baltušnikas worked as a muscle physiology and biotechnology scientist in Lithuanian Sports University and Vytautas Magnus University. Fields of interest: systemic targeted delivery of drugs, transcriptional gene regulation, muscle fibers plasticity and diversity, muscle hypertrophy, muscle contraction velocity and muscle strength. Later, Juozas Baltušnikas branched into programming. While working at Dassault Systèmes as a Java programmer, he joined the development of systems modeling tool “MagicDraw” – a widely used software tool by organizations such as NASA, Boeing, Google and Rolls Royce among others. Currently, Juozas Baltušnikas works on developing a software platform – “Science Architect”.
